私が両手をひろげても
お空はちっとも飛べないが
飛べる小鳥は私のように
地面（じべた）を速くは走れない
私がからだをゆすっても
きれいな音はでないけど

たくさんな唄は知らないよ

金子みすゞ（かねこみすず）の詩「私と小鳥と鈴と」は、短くシンプルな言葉でありながら、深いメッセージを持っています。特に最後の一行、「みんなちがって、みんないい」は、多様性を肯定する美しい言葉です。
この詩では、自分にはできないことがあっても、それをできる誰かがいる。そして、その人にも、できないことがあります。私たちはみんなちがう力を持っていて、それぞれの良さがあるということです。

I believe many of you are familiar with this poem.
The poem "Me, a Little Bird, and a Bell" by Kaneko Misuzu (Misuzu Kaneko) is written in simple words, yet it carries a profound message. In particular, the final line, "Everyone is different, and that's okay," is a beautiful phrase that affirms diversity.
This poem tells us that while there are things we cannot do, there is always someone who can. At the same time, that person also has things they are unable to do. Each of us possesses unique abilities, and we all have our own strengths.
In modern society, we often find ourselves comparing with others or being pressured to conform. However, what truly matters is accepting and respecting differences. A little bird can fly in the sky, but it cannot run fast on the ground. A bell can make beautiful sounds, but it does not know many songs. It is precisely because we are all different that the world becomes a richer place.
As for myself, there are times when I feel like I still have a long way to go in learning Japanese. However, after reading this poem, I realized that learning at my own pace is part of who I am. I have my own strengths, and others have theirs. That is why, by respecting each other, we can continue to learn and grow together.
